The stepFlame technology provides control over nine levels of flame, offering precision to give users full control of heat.
German built-in kitchen appliances major Siemens Home Appliances has entered the domestic gas cook-top market by launching its patented stepFlame technology, the company has informed.
The stepFlame technology is a leading-edge innovation for gas cook-tops. It provides control over nine levels of flame, offering revolutionary precision to give users full control of heat.
Speaking on the launch, Gunjan Srivastava, managing director and CEO, BSH Household Appliances Manufacturing Pvt Ltd, said, “At BSH we constantly aim at offering futuristic technology paired with world class products. Kitchens are no longer a space only restricted to cooking; they have evolved to be an extended part of the living room. Siemens stepFlame hob is a product where technology meets style, hence offering a luxurious cooking as well as visual experience. Our nine precise knob design is a patented technology. With stepFlame technology, Siemens reaffirms this faith by offering a visually aesthetic cook top with futuristic technology that blends perfectly with the needs of the customers in India.”
According to Srivastava, the patented technology regulates gas output with precision, from levels 1 to 9. The knobs have been accentuated with printed numbers to highlight the chosen power levels. From meals, which require light cooking, to the most flavourful stir-fry recipes, one can now be assured of creating consistent and great-tasting meals.
Srivastava says with this new technology, users can whip up more meals for guests without the hassle of constantly back-bending to check on the fire. “The stepFlame cook-tops are not only embedded with cutting-edge technology, but also offer modern and timeless designs to elevate the ambience of any kitchen. For amateurs, cooking can be a task especially while judging the proper level of flame, but now the stepFlame technology has made even the toughest recipes a cakewalk. The display indicates the flame level selected and hence checking under the pot is no longer necessary.”
He further explains that the stepFlame hob adds an oomph factor to the kitchen. Customers can choose between stainless steel or ceramic cook top for the perfect fit. The cook tops have also been designed with smooth, chamfered edges for a modern touch and effortless cleaning, while the sword knobs have been constructed to make the fine-tuning of flames a simple affair.
He also stressed that the company’s gas hobs are perfect for Indian cooking – with introduction of step flame a whole range of Indian cooking can be done, right from a dal makhani and dum biryani which require extremely low flame, to a samosa which requires powerful burners. Faster cooking – with gas burners emanating up to 6KW of flame power, food especially phulkas and fried items are cooked evenly at a much faster rate. “Safety – Siemens gas hobs come with a flame failure device which ensures that the cooking experience is not only elevated but also a safe one at that.”
