Water purification specialist and healthcare products company Kent RO has announced that it would be the title sponsor of Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League’s eleventh season. Kent RO will occupy the leading position on Kings XI playing jerseys. IPL is scheduled to start from 7th April.

Kings XI Punjab is co-owned by Priety Zinta, Ness Wadia and Mohit Burman. The strategic partnership between the team and sponsor was unveiled during a press conference hosted by them in New Delhi recently. The event was marked by the presence of director Virendra Sehwag, team captain R Ashwin, CEO Satish Menon, co-owners Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia, besides Kent RO chairman Dr Mahesh Gupta.

“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Kings XI Punjab. Through this synergic partnership, Kent RO and Kings XI have teamed up to engage with the youth of today around one of the biggest and passionate cricket tournaments, the IPL,” said Dr Gupta at the press meet. He added, “We are happy to be primary sponsors to Kings XI Punjab. It is a young team and is expected to perform well and we sincerely wish them to win this year.”

According to Gupta, cricket is the most powerful medium in India and IPL its most spectacular vehicle. “Therefore Kent’s strategic partnership with Kings XI Punjab will certainly help the brand connect with sports lovers, not just in India but also in other parts of the world.”

Kent RO has also tied up with Star Sports exclusively for IPL’s season eleven, where the extra innings will be powered by Kent RO. Kent has earmarked a budget of Rs 50 crore for this season of the game.
