Stainless steel kitchen cabinet maker Prasara Innotech’s participation at IndiaWood this year seems to have been a turning point for the company. According to director V V Prasad Chatran (email@example.com), “This participation was in tune with our larger objective of reaching out to interested network partners for our Tusker brand of SS 304 cabinets. We believe that IndiaWood would stand testimony of acceptance to our brand. You can call our participation as the official launch of our innovative products.”
Tusker is aiming to expand its distribution network across India, and at IndiaWood it was able to connect with a large number of trade visitors and position itself as an innovations company. IndiaWood this year, according to the organiser PDA Trade Fairs, drew more than 800 exhibitors from 40 countries, who showcased technological innovations and latest trends in furniture manufacturing, woodworking technologies, tools, fittings, accessories and raw materials. “Perhaps the most interesting and radical exhibit was that of Tusker. Our exhibit was in total contrast to all the wood around and drew hordes of visitors who were curious to understand what ‘steel’ was doing amongst wood. Scepticism turned into awe once we took the inquisitive visitors through our exhibit and explained the why’s of steel cabinetry, ” he affirmed.
According to Chatran, at the show Tusker was able to stand out in a wood dominated market due to its innovative products and their customer centric design. “Our SS carcass and drawer solutions are able to completely replace wood, and are modular and ready to assemble. Besides, they are suited for all brands of hardware and support the aesthetic considerations of designers. It is heart-warming that we have come out with flying colours,” he said.
“The number of enquiries we have received from interested visitors willing to join hands as our channel partner is immense. As our expansion plans are aggressive, we have already entered into serious discussions with them right after the exhibition.” Tusker, he averred, has a strong network of channel partners in south and west, and has recently marked its entry into the north.
