Gujarat-based Ruby India, that markets ceramic washbasins under the MNM brand, is augmenting its product categories and distributor count. “We already have OEMs in China that manufacture washbasins. Now, we want to tap into the contract manufacturing process for unveiling faucets and mirrors by April end,” says the firm’s proprietor Milan Patel (corporate@mnminterior.com).

Discussing the company’s dealership expansion plans, Patel says that the firm’s policy is to appoint distributors, who in turn will develop dealer networks within their region. “We have four major distributors to look after our business in three regions – Ahmedabad and Mumbai for the west, Hyderabad for the south, and Noida for the north. Now, we want to deepen our presence in north and south by appointing one distributor each in cities of Lucknow and Bengaluru, and states of Kerala and Haryana.”

On the distributor eligibility criteria, Patel informs, “Distributors should have experience in dealing with ceramic products. They should have at least 1,500 sft area for warehousing and should be ready to put down a refundable deposit of Rs 2 to 10 lakh, depending on their region and scope of business. We will support them with marketing collaterals, including catalogues, samples and other initiatives.”
