In 2016 SICAM attracted over 7,000 visiting companies, of which 64% were Italian and 36% from the rest of the world. The internationality of the trade fair is continuously growing, making it a true ‘ambassador of Made in Italy’. But above all, it is becoming more and more a top event in the global exhibition calendar for the branch of components and accessories for furniture.
SICAM 2016 registered delegation visits from several countries of continental Sub-Saharan Africa and also Middle East, countries which represent new frontiers for the next decades. Germany confirmed itself as a target market once again, ranked first among the foreign visiting countries. Other key visitors were from France and Great Britain, always at the top for Italian export in the furniture sector, and from Russia, visiting the fair in the most recent editions.
The fair area of Pordenone is served by public transport from the city, and it is only 800 metre from the railway station. The airports at Venice, Trieste and Treviso are all about 45 minutes away by car. A regular shuttle bus service connects Pordenone and the Fair with Venice Marco Polo International Airport, the third largest in Italy in terms of volume of traffic; daily flights (some more than daily) connect the airport with all major European and Italian destinations. The airport Treviso ‘Antonio Canova’ international airport is connected by a shuttle bus.
By car, the fair is easy to reach: the Pordenone exit from the A28 motorway (which runs from Portogruaro to Conegliano and which connects with the Venice-Trieste A4 highway and the A27 Venice-Belluno Highway) is just beside the fair area.
