Water heater major AO Smith has launched HeatBot that comes with a smart timer (Auto-On and Auto-Off), energy meter, and a wireless remote. The new water heater is also equipped with blue diamond glass lining to offer two times the higher corrosion resistance and an advanced PUF technology for BEE 5 Star rated energy efficiency. It is available in 15 and 25 litres with a mechanical and digital control panel.

The domestic water heater market is estimated at approximately Rs 1800 crores and growing at about 9%, says Kulkarni, adding that the company grew by 34% in the last financial year. “We are sure that consumers will show the same patronage to HeatBot as they now have a strong reason to upgrade and experience the best of technology and design.
