Blum Experience Centre Ahmedabad Opens at Velocitas, as the Austrian manufacturer of premium furniture fittings strengthens its presence in India. Located on Sindhubhavan Road in Bodakdev, the centre invites homeowners, architects, and interior designers to explore fittings in real furniture settings rather than static displays.
The Blum Experience Centre Ahmedabad follows earlier facilities launched by the company in India — the Inspiration Centre in New Delhi (2024) and the Hyderabad Experience Centre (2025) — as well as an outlet in Colombo, Sri Lanka. These investments underline Blum’s commitment to engaging more closely with design professionals and consumers in markets where demand for high-quality kitchens and interiors is rising.
Unlike conventional showrooms, the Blum Experience Centre Ahmedabad allows visitors to interact directly with furniture installations. Every hinge, lift-up mechanism, and drawer is installed in working condition. The aim, according to Yagnesh Modi, founder of Velocitas, is to showcase design performance in everyday use.
“I have seen so many homes where everything looks amazing on the outset, but the details fall apart when you actually live with them. I felt like that needed to change. This space is not for show. It is for touching things, opening things, slamming things if you want to. We want people to feel the difference for themselves,” Modi said.
“This city is full of designers and clients who care about quality. They are not just picking things for how they look, they are thinking about how they work,” said Nadeem Patni, managing director, Blum India. “Blum is here to support that. We want to make the behind-the-scenes parts of furniture feel intentional, just as the rest of the design we find in modern homes.”

With India’s modular kitchen and premium interiors sector expanding, Gujarat has emerged as an important market. And the city of Ahmedabad, with its design-conscious homeowners and growing real estate development, was a natural choice said Patni.
Globally, Blum operates eight production plants in Austria, as well as additional sites in the USA, Brazil, Poland, and China. The company has 33 subsidiaries and delivers to more than 120 markets worldwide.
Patni added that the Blum Experience Centre Ahmedabad is intended to serve as both a showcase and a learning space: “We want industry professionals and customers to experience first-hand how functional hardware contributes to durability, convenience, and design integrity.”
