Kolkata-based plywood and laminate major Century Plyboards has introduced its premium panel-moulded door variants, the White Primered and Melamine doors, for the pan-India market. The company’s new high-density fibre-skinned doors come with larger hardwood frames that provide “higher” strength and durability. The doors are bonded with a patented glue line internal protection and are resistant to borer and termites. They are manufactured using “selected” eco-friendly panels and come with a five-year warranty.
“We introduced our White Primered and Melamine variants in the east and north about two years ago. Now, our company has introduced these across the country. We have 20-30 distributors in the east and the north, and 10-15 distributors in the west and south for the products,” the company’s executive director for doors business, Nikita Bansal told SH.
The products are suitable for internal applications and are being consumed by housing societies, hotels and retail spaces. “These panel-moulded doors are designed after extensive R&D at our end to ensure superior performance and unmatched durability. The exquisitely designed doors have a wonderful aesthetic charm, which comes from a textured front face that can bring sophistication to any kind of interiors. We kept in mind the growing need to conserve forests, and therefore these ranges of doors effectively consume less wood and add towards a more sustainable environment,” she stressed.
Both White Primered and Melamine doors come in varied thickness, ranging from 32-35mm with different panel assortments. The doors are primered before shipping and are easier to paint and polish. Bansal informed that Century will embark upon a digital promotion campaign in the latter half of October to build awareness and customer-connect across India.
