New Delhi-based Goodmen Industries Pvt Ltd (GIPL) is taking a slew of steps to build its toilet fittings and sanitaryware business. The company is appointing plumbers to boost its after-sales service, augmenting dealer network, expanding overseas footprint, and is set to foray into the faucets segment.
“Our focus is on after-sales service; our aim is to offer the best possible after-sales service to our customers. This is why we have appointed 155 plumbers on company payroll pan India, besides roping in plumbing contractors. We have handpicked them to provide hands-on training on tools and spare parts, and are also equipping them with kits to service customers,” the company’s director Anil Sinha told SH.
Informing about the three-year-old company’s dealer expansion move, Sinha said that Goodmen is increasing dealer count in existing and new markets. “I have more than two decades of experience in the sanitaryware industry. So, it was not difficult for us to sign up dealers. We have more than 800 dealers and 12 sales executives in various parts of the country. We are expanding in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Assam.”
Elaborating about the company’s overseas market expansion, GIPL’s managing director Shiv Abhinav said, “We have expanded our reach in the eastern European countries, the Middle-East, and African countries. We have opened offices in Dubai and Canada manned by our people, and equipping them with warehouses to stock our products.”
On product portfolio, Abhinav added, “Our toilet fittings are light-weight, use less water and are available at an affordable price. We manufacture them at our Morbi factory under the Orange brand. Our sanitaryware is sourced from Gujarat and branded under Impala Royalware. We are now expanding our product portfolio by launching tiles very soon.”
