Chandigarh-based Perfect Overseas Impex, manufacturer of Hyper door closers and architectural glass fittings is planning to expand its market footprint. In the coming year the company will aggressively increase the number of Hyper channel partnerships across the country, and in south India in particular. The company has recently launched its Chase branded self-tapping sheet metal screws in SS & MS, and wood screws for which too it will appoint dealers and distributors.
“At present we have 1,500 dealers associated with our brand, and by the end of this fiscal we are aggressively seeking to increase the count to over 3,000 dealers,” shared Ishit Gujral, director of the company. He added, “As we offer dealership for our brand across India, this year we will be focussing on south India.” According to Gujral, the company will add around 500 dealers in south India alone. “Look at Tamil Nadu, it’s a big market and so are Andhra, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala; we have to increase our retail presence in these states,” said Gujral. The company, established in 1975, has at present 26 distributors and is keen to have more distributors, especially in the south.
Gujral remarked that the company would offer dealerships based on a few parameters that include industry experience, goodwill in the market, financial strength, etc. Hyper products are backed by well equipped R&D, and there is a complete infrastructure to maintain stringent quality control, he said, adding that given the company’s focus on quality and pricing, the partnership with the brand will be a win-win for prospective dealers and distributors.
“We cater to the mid-segment, offer value for money, and the quality of the product is the mainstay of our brand. We have been manufacturing these products since last 40 years, and have created a niche for ourselves. The company stands for perfection in each and every product that leaves the factory premise; quality is our first priority,” he said, adding that prospective dealers and distributors would immensely benefit from the brand equity of Hyper.
The company has recently launched fasteners under the Chase brand, in full as well as half threads. “We are among a few players that produce the full range of fasteners,” Gujral remarked, adding that the product is BIS certified.
Talking about GST and its implications, he remarked that it will positively impact the business of Perfect Overseas. “We are fully prepared and have accordingly made the required changes in our billing and inventory systems,” he said, adding that he foresees a growth in sales in the post-GST era.
