Tile-maker H&R Johnson has opened its second exclusive experience centre in Maharashtra, at Pune. Branded as House of Johnson Experience Centre, the showroom features a collection of 2,500 tiling concepts, sanitaryware, bathroom fittings and engineered stones. The company’s Smart Series tiles are also showcased here.
Speaking at the inauguration of the showroom, the company’s CEO and executive director Sarat Chandak said, “We at Johnson have long held a strong belief in the philosophy of relentless innovation to pioneer the future of the categories we deal in. The new generation experience centres will completely elevate the buying and selection process for lifestyle products, being a one-stop-shop for planning and designing residential as well as commercial spaces.”
Explaining the concept of smart tiles, marketing head Dinesh Vyas said, “We have launched our patented Anti-Microbial tiles for walls and flooring. These germ-free tiles do not allow dangerous bacteria to grow on the floor or wall, and at the same time, the surfaces remain safe to human touch. Similarly, to deal with electrostatic discharge hazards, we have launched Anti-Static tiles. Not only this, our Endura Cool-roof tiles are certified high SRI (Solar Reflective Index), which keep the rooms below much cooler in peak summer climate.”
H&R Johnson is positioning its tiles as lifestyle products on the planks of health, safety and concern for the environment. “Our smart tiles are aligned to these elements, which are globally recognised as very important for a sustainable lifestyle besides the aesthetics,” Vyas added.
