Japanese architectural hardware solutions manufacturer Sugatsune has set up an experience centre in Bengaluru. This is the company’s fifth experience centre in the country after Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Pune. Founded in 1930, Sugatsune Kogyo has been operating in India for the past 16 years and markets its products under the Lamp brand.
The new experience centre showcases Sugatsune’s comprehensive range of hardware solutions, including hinges, locks, drawer slides, and pocket door systems. Here, the company aims to enable architects, designers, and consumers to explore its cutting-edge products first-hand while offering inspiration and practical solutions for their projects.
The experience centre, located at Unity Buildings Complex on Mission Road, III Cross, was inaugurated last week by Ar Ganesh Kumar, Studio 69and Kiran Gala, founder of Gala Groups, along with Sugatsune India managing director Anil Rana.
While speaking at the inauguration, Rana stated, “Today marks a significant step forward for Sugatsune in India. Our new experience centre in Bengaluru is not just a showroom; it’s a space where creativity meets functionality. The new centre also marks a significant milestone in Sugatsune’s continued expansion across India, further strengthening its presence in the southern region. We are excited to provide customers with the opportunity to engage with our products hands-on and discover how they can enhance their living.”
Rana says that by establishing a branded retail footprint in Bengaluru, Sugatsune will be able to serve its growing customer base in southern India more effectively. “With a focus on providing advanced hardware solutions, Sugatsune aims to support architects and designers in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing environments.”

The centre will also offer expert guidance to design professionals and contractors by trained technical specialists. Further, it will provide customers with personalised support for their unique project needs so that they can achieve high workmanship and the latest design trends.
