Gujarat-based ceramic tile maker Asian Granito (AGL) has recently inaugurated a 25,000-sft display showroom at Himmatnagar, to showcase its entire range of digital, vitrified, ceramic, porcelain, natural marble, composite marble, and quartz tiles. The company outlet displays over 1,400 products that have indoor and outdoor applications. Also on display is AGL’s newly launched range of sanitaryware.
“This is the largest display showroom of tiles and sanitaryware in north Gujarat and showcases the entire product range offered by Asian Granito at one place,” says Kamlesh Patel, chairman and managing director of the company. Explaining the rationale behind the Himmatnagar location of the showroom, he says, “All our manufacturing plants are located in the surrounding areas. Hence we have decided to set up our display centre here and have the entire range of products at one location.”
AGL also organised a dealers’ meet to coincide with the inauguration of showroom, which saw the participation of over 800 channel partners. At the event, the company introduced a range of large format tiles in 800×1600 mm, 1200×1800 mm and 1200×1200 mm. Later it declared that dealers placed orders worth Rs 175 crore during the meet. “This is the best ever order booking for the company, and we are overwhelmed by the response and support of our dealer network,” Patel said.
According to Mukesh Patel, the company’s managing director, AGL will focus on high-end products such as premium GVT tiles, nanocrystal, quartz and marble, etc. He added that the company’s goal is to become a leading retail brand in the tile industry by having over 10,000 touchpoints, a network of 500 exclusive showrooms, and revenues of Rs 2,000 crore within the next two to three years. At present AGL products are sold across 6,500 counters of dealers and sub-dealers, 300-plus exclusive AGL Tiles showrooms and 13 company-owned display centres across India. “We also export our products to 60 countries, and aim to be available in 100 countries in the coming time.”
Following its foray into sanitaryware, AGL is expected to introduce a range of CP fittings in order to become a complete bathroom solutions provider. It has already built up a sanitaryware catalogue of 160 SKUs including washbasins, WCs and urinals.
