Mohali-based Diplast Group will be increasing its market presence in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh by offering dealerships in the key cities of these states. “We have a sizeable number of dealers across the country; however in a few markets we are not adequately represented,” remarked Ashok Gupta (diplastplastic@yahoo.com), the CEO of the Mohali-based group. The group has three distributors and over 400 dealers across India. It manufactures PP-R, CPVC and uPVC pipes, SWR pipes, water storage tanks and dustbins.
“We will appoint 100 dealers by the end of financial year 2018,” Gupta informed, adding that the company sees opportunities in states that are witnessing massive investment on the infrastructure front. “To begin with we will focus on Uttarakhand and Rajasthan for our dealership offers,” said Gupta. The states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh are also on our focus list, he said. Diplast is looking for partners from the trade who are financially sound and have goodwill in the market.
Gupta is confident that his company can match the demand arising out of infrastructural developments in some states. “We have developed a sound infrastructure facility; our manufacturing unit is well equipped with latest machinery and tools that are essential for carrying out smooth and hassle-free production. All our machines are regularly calibrated and upgraded, which is key to our having an excellent production rate,” he said.
This year Diplast will introduce 4-10 inch double-walled corrugated pipes for sewage, and a new range of plastic dustbins. “Besides the new launches we will continue to enhance the quality and features of our existing product line,” he said. ')}
