Rajesh Bansal, chairman and managing director – Dorset Industries, spells out the company’s growth strategies. The company, he says, has been the leading the hardware industry when it comes to environmental compliance. At Dorset, he highlights, the focus has been on TCE free manufacturing processes, abiding by ZED principle, use of alternative energy sources to remain cost-competitive. On the skilling front, the company is establishing a pan-India service network to train carpenters. At the same time, Dorset is investing heavily in expanding its manufacturing capabilities to take advantage of the cost differentials via a vis China. “In 2019-20, we are continuously investing in product development and at the same time increasing our retail presence,” says Bansal.
