Pipes maker Finolex Industries Ltd has been awarded the National Record certificate by the Limca Book of Records for organising the largest number of plumbers meets simultaneously across 26 states and 58 cities on 11 March this year. More than 3,000 plumbers participated in this skill development activity, which was conducted on World Plumbing Day.
Nitin Kulkarni, the company’s president-sales & marketing, stated while receiving the honour, “We would sincerely like to thank the Limca Book of Records team for awarding us the certificate and acknowledging the work done by Finolex Industries. We feel great pride, and greater responsibility, in conducting such activities while attempting to empower the plumber community with skills required for the job.”
According to Kulkarni, the meets imparted training about best industry practices and technologies to plumbers and felicitated them for their contribution towards maintaining hygiene, sanitation and saving water. “Skill development is the first step towards employment generation and a better lifestyle. The contribution of the construction industry to the country’s GDP is significant, and plumbers are one of the important pillars of this industry. Finolex takes active part in training and development of the plumbers. We have already collaborated with Kushal, a training wing of CREDAI Pune Metro for training plumbers in the country.” ')}
