Laminates major Greenlam Industries Ltd has announced capacity expansion at its Nalagarh plant in Himachal Pradesh. The expanded capacity is now operational, and the facility will be manufacturing an additional 1.6 million laminate sheets per annum. Greenlam is also a provider of decorative surfacing solutions such as HPL, compacts, decorative veneers, doors, and engineered wooden flooring and has two state-of-the-art plants in the country.
Speaking about the expansion, the companyās managing director and CEO Saurabh Mittal said, “We have always endeavoured to give our customers the best of services which are in line with our vision and mission. With this expansion, we are delighted to announce that our manufacturing unit in Nalagarh is now entirely operational to produce an additional 11.4%. This would take the manufacturing capacity for laminates to 15.62 million laminate sheets per annum.ā
Mittal said that the capital cost of the brownfield expansion is Rs 25 crore, and it has the potential to generate additional revenues of Rs 125 crore per annum on full capacity. āThe expansion will strengthen Greenlamās position in the HPL and compact panels market by offering an expanded product line to customers.ā
