Homegrown locks major Harrison Locks has launched the Shri Anil Monga Excellence Achievement Awards for the domestic locks and hardware industry. Winners of the inaugural awards were announced recently at a virtual ceremony, which also saw the company introducing new product categories under the Harrison brand. Legendary actor Dharmendra, who is the Harrison brand ambassador, was present at the event. The awards have been designed to carry forward the legacy of Anil Monga, late father of Uman Monga, the current managing director of R P Locks & Co which owns the Harrison brand.
“The awards acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of our channel partners. They motivate them to work with more dedication for achieving goals in these testing times,” said Umang.
While speaking about his late father, Umang said that he revered him as a mentor and friend. “He was helpful, punctual, and dedicated to his work. He greatly valued consistency and persistence in his life. I have imbibed several life lessons from him. But his most important message was rukna manaa hai (you just can’t stop). I am reminded of this credo whenever I am faced with challenges, both in personal and professional life. We at Harrison will continue to walk on the path of progress and success, just as he had prescribed.”
Actor Dharmendra spoke highly about the legacy of Anil Monga and the Harrison brand, while comedian Sunil Pal regaled the audience with his wit and wisdom.
During the event, Umang launched the new Legacy Collection that starts at Rs 999, and announced the brand’s entry into the adhesive business by launching high performance masking tapes.
The virtual awards, which were streamed live on the company’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, garnered a viewership of 28,000.
