Plastic pipes maker Truflo by Hindware has forayed into PTMT faucets and accessories. The company has started commercial production of PTMT products at its second plant, located at Isnapur, Hyderabad.
Following this expansion, Truflo’s bathroom fittings portfolio now consists of 14 variants of PTMT faucets, six flush tank variants, seat covers and other accessories. The company already offers 1500+ SKUs of NSF-certified CPVC pipes for hot and cold-water plumbing applications, lead-free UPVC pipes, SWR pipes, and PVC pipes for potable water. It also has a strong presence in the overhead water storage tanks segment.
According to Rajesh Pajnoo, CEO, Truflo by Hindware Limited, “Venturing into the PTMT faucets segment is a natural extension of our portfolio as we aim to provide customers with a one-stop solution for all their plumbing requirements. We are one of the fastest-growing players in the plastic pipes and fittings segment. We are confident of sustained growth with the support of our customers, the state-of-art facility, and our growing distribution network.”
With its expanding PTMT category, the company is eyeing rapid urbanisation, an increase in the number of nuclear families, government push on infrastructural growth, and rising private and public investment in residential construction in the country.
Pajnoo informs that the PTMT fittings are manufactured with 100 per cent food-grade material. They are finished with a silver ion nanotechnology-powered anti-bacterial treatment, which helps build resistance to microbial growth to ensure clean and safe water. Capacity at the Isnapur plant, which is IGBC Platinum rated, was increased recently from 30,000 tonnes to 48,000 tonnes to support the present expansion and future additions.
