CIKB’s now LivingKitchen China; to Feature New Design Award, Parallel 50 Events

“Around 30,000 visitors will learn more about the latest trends, liaise with potential contacts and exchange ideas,” organiser said.

Global kitchen industry players will congregate at LivingKitchen China, formerly CIKB, to be held from September 22-24 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai, China. A satellite event of the Cologne LivingKitchen, the trade show caters to visitors in Asia.

“Around 30,000 visitors will learn more about the latest trends, liaise with potential contacts, and exchange ideas. We are well on the way towards becoming the most important kitchen industry platform in China,” said Arne Petersen, head of the Koelnmesse Trade Show Management Division, the show’s organiser in a press statement.

“The trade show event concept has been improved even further. This year will see the premiere of ‘Kitchen Space Concept Design National Award’, which is awarded within the scope of the trade show. In addition, the increasingly popular trade show format also features a central theme that is currently of great interest to the global kitchen world: Smart Home,” said the organiser.

“An accompanying programme of more than 50 events and the unusually high level of exhibitor involvement offer excellent opportunities for establishing business contacts in the growth market China.”

China is an extremely exciting market for the international kitchen industry. With annual growth figures of around 20%, the organiser said, China harbours excellent opportunities for companies when it comes to increasing their export rates. “One major advantage is that the Chinese end-customers consider a fitted kitchen a status symbol. In addition, labels such as ‘Made in Germany’ or Italian design are good sale pitches in China.”

According to Petersen, LivingKitchen China has evolved into a central industry platform. “It unites the various market stakeholders and makes it possible for European companies to develop the Chinese market.” ')}
