Where the Heart is’ is the New Avatar of Asian Paints’ iconic Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai Campaign

The video series is a beautiful journey into the most intimate space in a celebrity’s life, their home

There’s a big difference between a house and a home. While a house is a structure, the home is an embodiment of dreams, memories, and warmth of those who dwell in it.

This thought is brought out evocatively by Asian Paints’ popular web series ‘Where the Heart is’. The series, now in its third instalment and being played out on YouTube, reminds viewers of the beauty of relationships and how these relationships make a home what it is.

The series features the eclectic brother-sister acting duo Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem, whose unconventional life choices are reflected in their unconventional home; Captain Fantastic, Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri; the versatile Gaurav Kapur and his wife, actor Kirat Bhattal; mould-breaking actor Neena Gupta and her fashionista daughter Masaba; Boman Irani who offers a glimpse into the old-world charm of his Parsi house; and Tamil and Telugu star Kajal Aggarwal who has grown up in her family home in Mumbai.

Asian Paints COO Amit Syngle explains the thought behind the campaign…

What are the objectives of the ‘Where the Heart Is’ campaign?

From the har ghar kuch kehta hai days, Asian Paints has believed that a home is really a physical embodiment of those who inhabit it. As celebrities show us their homes, they’re also showing us a glimpse of their inner world. At Asian Paints, we truly believe that beautiful homes are a reflection of their inhabitants, and we’re so glad this show allows us to witness the extraordinary beauty in their every day.

What message do Asian Paints wish to send to viewers, through these particular celebs for this campaign?

Our core objective is to recapture the essence of how people who live under the same roof bring colour to each other’s lives and highlight the emotional equity that a home holds. Building on our positioning and expression of har ghar kuch kehta hai, we aim to resonate with our consumers by instilling empathy and meaning into décor.

Why were these celebs chosen for this campaign?

This year, we have taken a slight departure from the previous two seasons and put our focus on the beauty of relationships, and how these relationships truly make a home what it is. The chosen celebrities come from different parts of the country as well as different walks of life, and this diversity gets reflected in how they envision and build their home.
