Odisha Skill Development Authority Inks four MoUs for Skill Development

In an effort to boost the skill set as well as employability of young population, especially during the ongoing crisis triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic, Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) has inked four Memorandum of Understanings (MoUs). These MoUs, according to an official, were virtually signed with different organisations on the occasion of the World Youth Skills Day (WYSD), PTI reports.

ā€œI am glad to learn that in these testing times, when the Covid-19 pandemic has raised new challenges to mankind, the skill ecosystem of Odisha has taken a giant step forward in innovation for facing the emergent challengesā€ Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said in his address on a digital meet on the occasion.”I am confident that these collaborations will lead to more opportunities for our youth at the global level,ā€ he added.

In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, the World Youth Skills Day was observed through webinars by leading ITIs engaging industry leaders. OSDA Chairman Subroto Bagchi and Skill Development and Technical Education minister Premananda Nayak also addressed the meet.
