Bathroom faucets and accessories maker Agmeco Faucets has come up with Agmeco Studio, a boutique outlet, to showcase its product offerings in Guwahati. Explaining the idea of boutique stores, managing director Dinesh Aggarwal states that retailers are often unable to provide complete display or are unaware of the technical details of the products. “While bathroom fittings account for around 10% of sales of any retail outlet offering sanitaryware, tiles and other bathroom fixtures, most of the retailers find it difficult to educate the end users about these products.”
The studio is located in Guwahati’s Athgaon area along Sati Jaymati Road. Athgaon, says Agarwal, is a specialty market for building materials. “For getting maximum footfall and convenience of the end-user, we chose to be on the ground floor on the main road.”
“The outlet displays all our product series, and well-trained Agmeco staff is deployed there to educate end-users about product ranges, pricing, utilities, etc,” shares Agarwal. He also informs that the boutique acts as a display centre only, and customers are redirected to their nearest Agmeco dealer or channel partner. “The interactive atmosphere has led to people showing more interest in Agmeco. It has also helped our channel partners improve their sales.”
