Furniture fittings specialist Hafele has recently opened its state-of-the-art Design Showroom in Chennai. Hafele’s newest facility, a first of its kind in the city, is located on College Road and is spread over 5,300 sft. It was inaugurated by architect C S Raghuram, director of C R Narayana Rao Consultants, together with Jürgen Wolf, managing director of Häfele South Asia.
The launch of the Chennai Design Showroom comes just weeks after Hafele launched its state-of-the-art design showroom in Pune. The Pune showroom, located at Shivaji Nagar with an area of 3,000sft, was inaugurated by renowned architect Mahesh Nampurkar along with Wolf.
With the opening of the two showrooms, the number of Hafele’s company-owned design flagship showrooms in South Asia has grown to seven. The exclusive design centres will introduce consumers to the ‘live concept’ set up of home interiors, and showcase Häfele’s latest innovations in interior solutions, catering to every application of a given interior space.
Commenting on the live kitchen concept, Wolf says, “Stylish hardware fittings that give you the best functionality for your individual application in your business or residence are hard to select from a catalogue. The new Live kitchen section gives the customers a firsthand feel of the products before they purchase it. Wolf asserts that design concepts and ideas can be better understood when they are experienced in live set-ups. This in fact is the ideology that backs Hafele’s initiative of establishing design centers represented in the form of an international retail set-up; where customers can walk in and experience world-class functionality, seamlessly rooted into latest global design trends.
In fact, a typical layout of any of Häfele’s design showroom includes real-time displays of the company’s many product functionalities, including a live kitchen which is equipped with storage areas, appliances and other utilities. Besides, Häfele design showrooms provide service of designing kitchens and wardrobes to customers, by a team of designers who exclusively operate from these showrooms.
