Lixil India has entered into a strategic partnership with AluK, which is into design and engineering of aluminium window, door and curtain walling systems. The window systems manufactured as part of this alliance will be branded ‘Tostem+Aluk’ and will undergo thorough quality checks to guarantee performance in the harshest weather conditions. Lixil has entered into this partnership through its brand Tostem, which boasts of high-quality Japanese design pre-engineered aluminium sash windows and door systems. In 2018, Lixil had set up a new entity – Lixil Window Systems Pvt Ltd – to serve both retail and projects segments of the building materials market in India, after having acquired 100% stake in the DLF subsidiary Star Alubuild Pvt Ltd.
“The confluence of Tostem and AluK will ensure that the customers in India get the best in design, quality and innovative technology, combining European design with Japanese manufacturing,” said Sandeep Mathur, general manager LIXIL-LWS. He further informed that the products will be fully built and glazed at a modern 150,000-sft facility at Manesar and distributed through a strong network of channel partners. “Emphasis on quality and reliability will permeate every part of the supply chain. We are very excited to offer AluK products, in addition to Tostem products, to better satisfy the needs of a wider range of customers,” remarked Mathur.
According to the company, the partnership will allow LIXIL to work towards bringing its cutting-edge technology, world-class products and best practices to India and transform the market.
