Merino Industries has expanded its interior solutions portfolio with new variants of its Merino Marine Board range, alongside surface solutions and a wider offering across facades, flooring and specialised applications.
The company has introduced Marine Board FR+ and Marine Board Plus, addressing different performance requirements in furniture and interior applications. It also plans to launch Prakriti – Stories of Nature, a design-led surface range inspired by nature and Indian art.
Speaking about the company’s product direction, Manoj Lohia, Director, Merino Industries, said, “We wanted our showcase to represent the breadth of Merino’s thinking, from advanced boards inspired by international certified standards for safety and performance to laminates inspired by nature.”
New Merino Marine Board Variants
Merino Marine Board FR+ is a fire-retardant board designed to comply with European standards. The board combines enhanced fire safety with lower emissions, extending the Marine Board range into applications where safety and material performance are important considerations.
Marine Board Plus combines an HMR core in a one-panel solution designed to reduce the need for multiple products. The board offers higher durability and improved screw-holding capability, along with a refined surface finish.
The two variants broaden the Merino Marine Board proposition across performance-led applications, with FR+ addressing fire safety requirements and Marine Board Plus focusing on durability and ease of use in furniture and interior applications.
Surface Solutions Inspired by Nature
Merino’s surface portfolio also includes Senses Art by Nature, a pre-laminated board range that draws visual cues from natural wood and other elements of nature. The range translates these references into finished surfaces for furniture and interior applications.
Alongside this, Feather Touch Matt combines a tactile finish with mar resistance, addressing applications where surface feel and appearance need to withstand everyday use.
The growing integration of boards, finishes and surface performance also reflects a wider shift in panel furniture manufacturing, where the board is increasingly being considered as part of a complete surface system.
Facades and Flooring for Demanding Applications
For exterior applications, Merino Armour HPL Facades is positioned as a performance-focused cladding solution for demanding outdoor conditions. The range offers resistance to weather, UV exposure, climatic shocks, corrosion, graffiti, termites, fungal attack and moisture. It also provides impact and abrasion resistance, while special editions are available in flame-retardant grades for applications where fire performance carries additional importance.
Merino’s flooring portfolio extends across Nature Line LVT, wooden flooring, engineered flooring and woven solutions.
Nature Line LVT is available in 3 mm glue-down and 5 mm interlocking formats, both with a 0.5 mm wear layer. Wooden flooring is offered in multiple grades and 8 mm and 12 mm thicknesses, while engineered flooring includes 14 mm variants. The range addresses residential, commercial and hospitality applications where frequent footfall and everyday wear place greater demands on flooring performance.
Solutions for Specialised Applications
The Merino Restroom range addresses high-performance restroom environments and has been used across infrastructure projects including Indian airports. The specialised solution extends the company’s material offering beyond conventional furniture and interior surface applications.
Merino has also offered a first look at its upcoming Prakriti – Stories of Nature surface range. Inspired by flora, fauna, wildlife, trees, jungles and flowers, the collection combines contemporary international design influences with Indian art and cultural references. It will be available in Feather Touch and Linen textures.
Referring to Prakriti, Lohia said the range brings together “the authenticity of hand-created Indian art with contemporary global design,” adding that it is built around “detail, originality, and a deep appreciation for the craft behind every surface.”
