H&R Johnson Opens Exclusive Tile Library in Mumbai

Leading tile manufacturer H&R Johnson recently launched its new Tile Library at Fort, Mumbai. The unique display format, developed for the benefit of the design fraternity, was inaugurated by Ar Hafeez Contractor and Joydeep Mukherjee, executive director & CEO of H & R Johnson (India).

“The small but meaningful Tile Library is being opened keeping in mind the challenge of practising architects in the vicinity, of needing immediate samples to choose the right tiles for their projects and space constraints in their offices to store huge amount of samples,” said Mukherjee on the sidelines of the launch. He said that H&R Johnson had over 3,500 product options in tiles under its four brands – Johnson, Porselano, Marbonite and Endura.

The library displays a variety of innovations from Johnson that include anti-microbial large format slabs and tiles, solar reflective tiles that reduce surface temperatures and improve indoor comfort, staircase solutions that include skid-resistant step tiles, risers and landing tiles among others. It also showcases the wide range of sizes, from floor slabs as big as 240x120cm to 60x60cm across designs and surface finishes. For wall tiles, it presents cladding options from 24x.7.5cm to 80x40cm, including the latest 5mm slim anti-microbial tiles. The newly introduced Endura hexagonal tiles, being marketed as a perfect fit for interior and exterior walls as well as floors, can also be viewed at the library.

“At H&R Johnson, our objective is to retain and strengthen our position as the only manufacturer offering best in class tiles for all spaces. However, equally important is to ensure that the products reach the specifier community fast and in a convenient way,” remarked Dinesh Vyas, senior VP and head of marketing. Sharing more about the product range on display, he informed, “The small format tile library has a collection of architectural tiles that our product development team has created with due research on Indian and global architectural and interior designing practices.”
