Kitchen accessories manufacturer Swyam International will expand its presence to southern and eastern markets of India this year. It will also expand its ‘Made in India’ portfolio of soft closing products. The company markets its products under the Everslide brand.
The company’s managing director Vijay Grover states that Swyam has touched a turnover of Rs 10 crore, through a network of 200 dealers and 50 distributors. “Our channel network is mainly concentrated in the southern states, besides Maharashtra and Gujarat,” he said. “In 2018 we will continue to expand in south India and target West Bengal as a focus market.” Grover said that the plan is to appoint at least 20 new dealers in West Bengal for Everslide, and an equal number in south India.
According to Grover, interested dealers should be financial sound, and should have experience in dealing with kitchen related products. “We would look at one who has been doing over Rs 10 lakh sales per month and can deliver the same for us,” he said. The company on its part will offer new dealers training (technical aspect), and give them good margins (25-30% depending on product) and attractive schemes. “We will offer quality products at competitive rates, and this along with our relationship-oriented dealership approach will help us gain traction in newer markets.”
“We are proud to say that our soft closing kitchen accessories are manufactured in India,” Grover stated, adding that the company’s 2,000-sft manufacturing unit is located in Delhi’s Nangli Sakrawati industrial area. “We have invested Rs 4 crore to come up with the manufacturing unit, which has the capacity to produce approximately 100 pantry units a day.”
Grover added that the company is expanding its product portfolio and plans to launch soft closing pantry units and magic corners. “Our approach is two-fold – product range expansion and increasing retail network.” ')}
